Muyi Mubarak Museum
One interesting place that we visited while in Tashkent was the Muyi Mubarak Library. This is probably the most important building in the Hazrati Imam complex . This building houses the world famous Quran of Caliph Uthman – Ottoman dating back to the 6th century. It was completed in the year 651, only 19 years after the death of Muhammad.
The priceless Quran is kept in a special glass vault built into the wall. Only about one third of the original survives – about 250 pages of parchment sheets of a very large size.TskMuyiMubarak3209muyi mubarak museumarchitecturebuildingtashkentuzbekistan

Kalyan Minaret
The Kalon or Kalyan Minaret is the dominant structure in the Poi Kalyan ensemble. The minaret is an architectural masterpiece built in 1127. It is 47 metres tall and is topped by a rotunda with 16 arched fenestrations from which the Muslims in the city were called for prayer. The minaret is closed to the public to climb up the stairs. It was also known as the ‘Tower of Death’ as till the year 1920, criminals were executed by being thrown down from the top.
The entire area is a great place to visit and see the beautiful historic architecture.Mir-i Arab Madrassah
One of the most striking buildings in the Poi Kalon complex in Bukhara. Constructed in 1535 – 36, this is a must visit in Bukhara. The 2 luminous blue domes on either side of the entrance stand out . Tourists cannot enter the madrassa as it is still an operating one where future imams and religious mentors are educated . An important destination while in Bukhara.

Chasma Ayub
This is another interesting monument in Bukhara dating back to the 12th century. Also known as Spring of Job, legend has it that the prophet Job struck the ground with his staff causing water to gush out in a spring. This water cured him of boils and ulcers that he had. Inside the mausoleum are taps from where pilgrims can take the water for drinking for cures.
