The Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche or Emperor William Memorial Church is one of Berlin's most famous landmarks. The church was destroyed by British bombers with only one partially destroyed tower left standing . This is now home to the Memorial Hall which documents the history of the church. Some of the mosaic decorations and reliefs in the ceiling of the hall have been restored. Berlin, October 2016
Located on the top of a hill in the Alps in Bavaria in a magnificent landscape,, the Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most photographed and visited castle in Europe. Though medieval in look, the castle was built in the 19th Century and has an air heating system and flush toilets. The castle was built for King Ludwig II where he slept for only 11 nights !
