This bird with a bright green, blue and red plumage is present across the Indian subcontinent. Barbets get their name from the bristles that fringe their thick bills. Also known as the great Indian hornbill is one of the largest hornbills. They have a large curved yellow bill with a prominent black and yellow casque on it's massive bill.
